JANUARY 2018 CLOSE TO MY HEART
TECHNIQUE BLOG HOP
I am so happy that you hopped over from Sarah Devendorf's Blog which means you are on the right path.
For this month's Technique Blog, I created a Desk Top calendar using a template for an Easel Card. The supplies I used to create this project are:
Cardstock: Lagoon, Glacier and White Daisy
Instructions to Make Easel Calendar Base:
- Cut a 5" x 6" White Daisy Cardstock and 6" x 10" White Daisy Cardstock
- Using a scoring board, score the 6" x 10" cardstock at the following marks - 5" and 7.5".
- Fold the middle scored section in half; then fold the smaller scored section down/forward.
- Adhere your 5" x 6" base to the front of the easel card on the bottom half. (this is the part you folded down/forward)
The calendar was printed from the Internet and matted on the Glacier Cardstock and Lagoon Cardstock. The matted pieces were adhered to the Make Waves Paper and attached to the 5" x 6" White Daisy Cardstock base.
I used our new Number Thin Cuts to cut the Year "2018" with White Daisy Cardstock. Using the "In the Background" of your choice - I chose the dots using the Pansy Stamp Ink Pad. The bottom section with the year is matted with Lagoon Cardstock. The Purple Polka Dot Paper from Make Waves Paper is matted on the Glacier Cardstock and popped up. This helps the top portion to stay in place.
I hope you are enjoying all the inspiration on the blog hop. Your next stop is Amy Ulen's Blog.
