CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Glitter is Glamorous

WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER 2017
TECHNIQUE BLOG HOP

Hope you enjoyed Michelle Loncar's Blog which means you are on the right path!

I have to admit - I LOVE GLITTER! It was hard for me to decide which project to choose.  I decided to display this double page layout which I had at one of my weekend retreats. If you love this layout, let me know as I have a few extra kits available!

Glitter Paper always gives a touch of elegance to any project, whether a card or scrapbook layout.  I used our Red, Gold and White Glitter Paper on this layout for the title and embellishments.  The paper on the bottom half of this layout is from our  Silver & Gold Paper Packet. In addition, I used the Red Shimmer Tape, adding some more glittery elements.

Here are some close up images of the embellishments:

As I mentioned earlier, I have a few extra kits so please send me a message if interested.  Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a fabulous holiday and joyous New Year with family and friends!

Your next stop on the blog hop is Judy Faye Garner's blog.  Enjoy!

If you are coming from Cat Nowak's blog, you are on the right track.

For this month's blog hop, I am featuring my One Sheet Wonder Card Workshop using the Silver and Gold Cardmaking Stamp and Thin Cuts. I was able to make 10 cards using one sheet of the Silver and Gold Paper Packet, one sheet of the Bashful Glitter Paper and one sheet of our Silver Foil Paper.

These cards came out so elegant using non-traditional holiday colors. Some of the cards feature the Bashful Pearls and were embossed using the Bashful Pigment Ink with Clear Embossing Powder or stamped using the Silver Embossing Powder.

I hope you enjoyed this month's CTMH Technique Blog Hop. We love to hear from you so please leave a message.  Now head over to Melissa Robinson's Blog - My Heartfelt Sentiment for your next blog hop stop!

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Crazy About Cardstock

WELCOME TO THE AUGUST 2017

CTMH TECHNIQUE BLOG HOP

No automatic alt text available.

I absolutely love our two-sided cardstock.  It complements any project and provides so many options with cards, scrapbook pages, home decor...the possibilities are endless!

You are in the right place if you just hopped over from Sarah Devendorf's Blog.

I created this double page layout for a Make & Take held for my Annual Inspiration Catalog debut.

This provided a great sampling of many of our new products.  The center cardstock is one of our new basic colors called Charcoal. The photo mats are the actual color while the background is the reverse side of the cardstock!!  Most of our two tones are very subtle but love the diversity of this color.  It is such a great neutral color.

Other new products highlighted are:

The title is from our CTMH Flower Market Cartridge (Z3285).

Thanks for viewing my blog!  I would love to hear from you so please leave a comment. Now it's time to hop on over to Melissa Robinson's Blog.  Have fun!

To create this pages, I used the No Worries Workshop Your Way Kit along with 8 pieces of Cashmere Cardstock for the base pages.  Using an ink dauber, I dabbed over my stencil to create the words.

The Bon Voyage I dabbed using the White Daisy Pigment Ink.

Desert Sand was used for "Getaway"

Paradise was dabbed using Crystal Blue.

The used various colors for the sign.  "Explore was inked with Crystal Blue, "Roam" with White Daisy Pigment Ink, Pacifica was used for "Travel" and Desert Sand for "Journey"

Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing this kit.  It will include 4 daubers, stencil and kit will be pre-cut with instructions.

I filled the 3" x 4" Flip Flap with the same color Cardstock used on the base with the stamped sentiment "Enjoy your Adventure" and filled with sequins and some chucky glitter.

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Vellum Makes Everything Better

Welcome to the April 2017
Technique Blog Hop!

For this month's CTMH Technique Blog Hop, we are featuring creative techniques using "Vellum". Many of Close To My Heart's Fundamental Paper Packet include vellum.

If you are coming from Wendy Kessler's Blog, you are in the correct spot. I hope you are enjoying everyone's inspiration. After your stop here, below you will find a link to Kirsten Desorcy's blog posting.

I am featuring two - double page layouts using the Uptown Fundamental Paper Packet.

My first layout "My Lucky Day" was so much fun to make. The trickiest part of using vellum is hiding the adhesive.  I have the striped vellum paper overlaying the Pansy Cardstock. Prior to adhering the vellum to the cardstock, I created my layout on top of the vellum using the "You & Me Complements" and Silver Shimmer Trim. Once I had everything attached to the top of the vellum, I turned the vellum over and used my adhesive behind the areas that photos, paper strips, title, etc...were placed and adhered it to the Pansy cardstock.

I only used a border strip of the gold dotted vellum on the top and bottom of the layouts.  I used glue dots in each corner to adhere the vellum. I then covered up the glue dots using the Black Glitter Paper on the corners.

I hope this helped shed some ideas on how to adhere vellum to your projects. Thanks for stopping by and we love hearing from you so please leave a comment. Now it's time to hop on over to Kreative Kirsten's Blog

To create the cupcake, I used CTMH's "Sweet Birthday" Stamp Set and Sweet Birthday Thin Cuts. I used our ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  Our paper packet is so colorful that you can use a variety of colors to make this card!

I hope you enjoyed this card.  Now it's time to hop on over to Haley Dyer's - The Inky Scrapper BlogBe sure to drop a comment and join my blog (it's new). We love hearing from you!  Thanks for stopping by too!!

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Crazy for Complements

Welcome to the January 2017 Technique Blog Hop!

For this month's CTMH Technique Blog Hop, we are featuring the use of our CTMH Complements. I can't wait to see all the creativity using these embellishments from everyone! If you are coming from Darlys Recker's Blog, you are in the correct spot.  This month we have approximately 10 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their ideas using this technique along with other CTMH products. I hope you enjoy checking out everyone's blog - all you have to do is click on the link at the bottom of everyone's post to get to the next blog.  Enjoy!

Let me start out by stating that this is just a sampling of the cards you can make using our Springtime Complements . I have so many more pieces to make more cards or use them for Scrapbook Pages.  Many of my ideas are inspired from Pinterest.

The "Hello" Card is using the "Hello" Sticker from the sticker page. I used strips of papers from our new Paper Packets in the Seasonal Expression 1 Catalog and Sorbet Cardstock

The "My Love" Card is using the Gold & White chipboard pieces from the Springtime Complements. The base of the card is Black Cardstock , Sea Glass Cardstock  and our  Gold Glitter Paper

The "Smile" Card is using the White Chipboard "Smile" which I used our Sponge Daubers using the Thistle and Sapphire Stamp Pads. Can't forget the dot on the "i" for smile one of the stickers from the Springtime Complements with a little bling. Lastly, the base of the card is Thistle and Whisper Cardstock embossed using the Happy Thoughts Embossing Folder.

The "Heart" Card is using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder (retired). Inside the honeycombs, I placed the 5 tiny heart stickers from the Springtime Complements. I used our new Circle Thin Cuts placing a circle sticker from the complements. The heart stamped in the center is from Happy Hearts Stamp Set and sorbet ribbon from the Whimsey Ribbon Collection

Now hop on over to  Catherine Nowak's Blog to see her amazing artwork. Be sure to drop a comment and join my blog (it's new). We love hearing from you!  Thanks for stopping by too!!
